In the reported economic slowdown, consumer spending (apart from on property) still appears to be very strong. Just analysing behaviour from simple perspectives such as in shopping districts, they seem to be never busier and certainly not just with browsers. Cars too seem to be still in high demand. It makes one wonder whether it is the economic commentators or consumers that are wrong.
