As many of you know, the three loves of my life are my wife, my Photography and my cars.
The only car that I have ever bought brand new was a superb Renault 5 GT Turbo, as my Christmas present to myself in 1986.
Because most similarly priced products are equally good for their purpose, I had test-driven and short-listed at least 10 other new cars (including some much cheaper and more expensive cars).
But people buy from people, once they get to Know, Like and Trust them.
For several reasons that are too lengthy to detail here, although the pocket rocket was such fun to drive and did an excellent job of selling itself to me, it was because I got to Know, Like and Trust the Salesman at Renault (Roy Berry) within just 1 hour that clinched the deal away from the other cars (which included a Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500).
